Research interests
Research interests are in the development of
methodology for land resource surveys. The monitoring of natural forest and other land cover inventory
by satellite technology for thematic mapping and area estimation. Integration of remote sensing, GIS and GPS technologies
into participatory methods for holistic application within development studies.
Experience
- All aspects of forest monitoring and survey using satellite imagery, GIS
system design and implementation for forestry use and land resource management.
- Satellite remote sensing project design and analysis, digital image processing,
scientific data analysis, fieldwork for inventory and ground verification.
- Design and teaching of undergraduate student in forest survey and forest harvesting, and short training courses
in remote sensing and GIS.
